"Our Story: Why We Exist"
Every night in Rochester, hundreds of people sleep in shelters despite having monthly income from SSI, SSDI, or VA benefits. They have money. They want housing. But they face barriers that trigger automatic rejection:
A felony conviction from years ago.
An eviction during a mental health crisis.
Bad credit from addiction recovery.
No rental history after years experiencing homelessness.
Traditional landlords see these barriers and immediately say "NO."
But past mistakes shouldn't mean permanent homelessness. That's the gap Artistry Of Blessed Hands fills. We're not a shelter. We're not charity. We're professional housing that gives second chances.

MEET THE FOUNDER
"Meet Marlena Mickle"

Marlena Mickle founded Artistry Of Blessed Hands Last Chance Housing after seeing Rochester's homeless population struggle to find housing despite having income. She witnessed people with $900-$1,800/month in benefits sleeping in shelters simply because they had barriers that triggered automatic rejection.
"I saw the gap between available housing and those who desperately need it. People deserve better. Everyone deserves a second chance."
With a commitment to both compassion and professionalism, Marlena created a housing model that worksβfor residents, for agencies, and for the community.
